Fundamentally, we want to apply this life saving technology to protect the public.
Blast EcoShield Ltd is a Cranfield University spin out company that combines explosive engineering expertise, horticulture and innovation to create living protective barriers; EcoShields, for modern environments. We explore how carefully designed natural systems can contribute to physical protection, offering practical and sustainable alternatives to traditional barriers. Our approach is guided by an understanding of real-world threats and focuses on solutions that are effective, responsible and visually appropriate for public spaces. Our work is intended for a wide range of settings, including events and festivals, critical infrastructure, marketplaces and other busy public environments.
