Private and Event Venues
An EcoShield is engineered planting that absorbs the pressure wave from a bomb blast, so less of it reaches the people on the other side. At a country house or an event venue it stands in the grounds among your guests, on the lawn and in the arrival court, and it reads as part of the garden.
What an EcoShield does at an event venue
A venue where 800 or more people can reasonably be expected to be present at the same time sits in the enhanced tier of Martyn's Law, and one where 200 or more can sits in the standard tier. Plenty of venues pass 800 on a marquee weekend without having counted.
An EcoShield answers that duty without changing what the grounds look like. It stands among your guests, takes blast energy into dense living material instead of passing it on, and reduces the overpressure reaching the people around it. To a guest it is part of the garden.
Where it goes in the grounds
It stands where guests gather: across the reception lawn, beside the marquee and in the arrival court, in short planted sections with open routes between them, so guests move freely and nobody is hemmed in. The ceremony space keeps its backdrop and the drive still arrives the way it arrives. Existing gates, walls and hedgerow lines are inputs to the design, and every section is drawn to your grounds rather than lifted off a standard layout.
Protection where your guests gather
Your gates control vehicles on the drive, and your staff greet every guest as they arrive. The guests gathering in the arrival court, on the reception lawn and beside the marquee are in open ground at the busiest points of the day. An EcoShield gives those spaces physical protection of their own.
It is a planted barrier with an engineered structure inside, designed for the threat of a bomb carried in by a person. It absorbs blast energy, so less of the pressure wave reaches the people behind it. It sits within the garden, so your events run exactly as they do now, and it gives you a physical measure to record in your Martyn's Law documentation.
Guests see planting. A wedding or a summer party still feels like a celebration, and the photographs show the grounds at their best, without a hint that anyone is expecting trouble.
Where it sits alongside what you have
Your gates, your lighting and your event management plan stay as they are. Whatever stands at the entrance stays. An EcoShield takes the lawn and the courtyard, where guests spend the day standing together.
